This new Osteo student is plumb-tuckered out.
My days are stacked high with scientific nomenclature and body-marking pencils. I'm full to the brim but excited. The philosophy of Osteopathy is beautiful (in my understanding): the observation and gentle manipulation of the bones and muscles to help restore the body to it's natural healthful state. at the moment, it is mainly understanding base science to build knowledge and memorising of terminology associated with anatomy and physiology. Wonderful stuff.
because most of my hours are filled with the above, I'm trying to squeeze my creative bursts around it as best i can. a little pair of angora socks on the needles for fun. food-making has been successful with 'chocolate and nut things', 'grain-free granola (this recipe)' and more smoothies. I made a coffee scrub from coarse coffee, sugar, salt, coconut oil and chamomile flowers. Today i set up a corner of my bedroom as a fossicking/designing/mess table. My art is on the walls, microgreens growing like crazy on my balcony, morning latte is a welcome ritual as is my frosty, half-dark walk to the bus each day - a beautiful chaos.
