Knitting a jumper for Austin

and a hat for chris

there were SO many knitted shops near and on the Aran Islands, i was swimming in blissful, wooly heaven. 

One of the main industries on the Aran Islands is knitting and wool production. There is a sweater shop at every corner, all with similar stock. I was honestly breathless with love for the woolliness of it all!
i could have bought everything. it was mostly all expensive, but i did buy a scarf, i'll show you soon.
Austin and I had 3 days away at and near the Islands, cycling around them, visiting the cliffs of Moher (more on that soon), knitting, listening to sessions and drinking cider. It was beautiful.
